How to Read the ParkTown Residence Balance Unit Chart

Every unit number takes the form #level-stack. In #10-25, the 10 is the storey and the 25 is the stack, so it is the home on the 10th storey of stack 25. Stacks are numbered 01 to 114 straight through the development rather than restarting at each block, so a stack number identifies a block on its own.

Which stacks belong to which block. Blocks 1 and 7 hold eleven stacks each and Block 3 holds eleven; the rest hold nine. Reading across the chart: Block 1 is stacks 01 to 11, Block 3 is stacks 12 to 22, Block 5 is stacks 23 to 31, Block 7 is stacks 32 to 42, Block 9 is stacks 43 to 51, Block 11 is stacks 52 to 60, Block 13 is stacks 61 to 69, Block 15 is stacks 70 to 78, Block 17 is stacks 79 to 87, Block 19 is stacks 88 to 96, Block 21 is stacks 97 to 105 and Block 23 is stacks 106 to 114.

Level ranges differ by block, and the chart is not ragged by accident. Blocks 3 and 5 run from level 2 to level 13. Blocks 1, 7, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23 run from level 2 to level 12. Blocks 9 and 11 run from level 2 to level 8 and are the two low blocks in the development.

Every gap on the chart that is not a printing fault. There are four, and each one looks like an error until you know what it is.

There is no level 1 row anywhere on the chart. Homes begin on the second storey because the first storey is given over to the commercial and arrival level beneath them, so a blank where level 1 should be is the building, not a missing unit.

Blocks 9 and 11 step in at the top. Both are eight storey blocks, but level 8 does not run the full width of either. In Block 9 only stacks 43, 44, 49, 50 and 51 reach level 8, and stacks 45, 46, 47 and 48 stop at level 7. In Block 11 only stacks 55, 56, 57 and 58 reach level 8, and stacks 52, 53, 54, 59 and 60 stop at level 7. That accounts for nine blank cells along the top edge of those two blocks and for the stepped profile you can see on the site plan.

Two blocks run one level higher than everything else. Blocks 3 and 5 carry a level 13, so the top row of the chart is occupied in those two columns only and empty everywhere else.

Thirteen stacks carry a different layout at level 2 than they do above it. In eleven of them a 1-Bedroom + Study unit sits at the second storey of a stack that carries a 2-Bedroom Premium + Study on every level above. The other two are stack 81 in Block 17, where a CP8 sits below a column of CP7, and stack 110 in Block 23, where a 1-Bedroom + Study sits below a column of 2-Bedroom Premium. A stack whose second storey does not match the column above it is drawn that way.

Where to go next. The floor plan page carries every layout band by band with the block and stack each one occupies, and the buyer’s guide sets out view orientation and block position by precinct.
